This Privacy Policy explains what information our Android app Life Care Zone collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the app, you agree to this policy.

1) What data we collect

A. Location data (IMPORTANT)

  • What we access: Your precise (GPS, Wi-Fi, and mobile networks) and/or approximate location.

  • When: Only after you grant permission at runtime and only while the app is in use (foreground).

    • We do not collect background location (i.e., when the app is closed or not in active use). If your use case requires background location, replace the previous sentence with: “We may collect location in the background when you enable [feature] for [purpose], and you can disable this any time in system settings.”

  • Why (examples):

    • Show location-relevant features/content (e.g., nearby services, localized information, address autofill).

    • Improve accuracy of in-app maps or directions.

    • Detect your region to comply with service availability, legal, or safety constraints.

  • Storage & retention:

    • By default, we do not store raw GPS coordinates on our servers. Location is used ephemerally to provide features and then discarded.

    • If you manually save an address or location (e.g., in a profile or booking), that entry is stored as part of your account data until you delete it or request deletion.

  • Sharing:

    • We do not sell location data.

    • We may share location with service providers (e.g., mapping/Geocoding) strictly to provide the requested feature and under confidentiality obligations.

B. Personal information you provide

  • Examples: Name, email address, phone number, saved addresses, support messages.

  • Why: Create/manage your account, communicate with you, complete requests you initiate, and provide customer support.

C. App, device, and diagnostics data

  • Examples: Device model, OS version, app version, crash logs, and performance data.

  • Why: App functionality, security, debugging, fraud prevention, and analytics (in aggregate).

2) How we use your data

  • Provide and operate app features you request.

  • Personalize content and improve the app.

  • Communicate service updates and respond to support.

  • Ensure security and prevent misuse.

  • Comply with legal obligations.

3) Third-party services (SDKs / processors)

We may use trusted processors to deliver parts of the Service (e.g., Google Play services for core Android capabilities; optional mapping/geocoding; crash/analytics). These providers process data only to provide services to us and are bound by contracts prohibiting any other use.

4) Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers under contract (hosting, support, analytics, mapping).

  • Authorities when required by law, to protect rights, safety, or prevent fraud.

  • Business transfers (e.g., merger or acquisition), with notice where required.

5) Your choices & controls

  • Grant/withdraw Location permission: Android Settings → Apps → Life Care Zone → Permissions → Location (Allow while using the app / Deny).

  • Delete saved addresses or profile data: In-app (where available) or email us.

  • Data access/deletion requests: Contact contact@lifecarezone.com. We’ll verify and respond as required by law.

6) Children’s privacy

Our app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided data, contact us to delete it. (If your audience is 18+, replace “13” with “18” to match your targeting.)

7) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. No method is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

8) International transfers

If data is processed outside your country, we use appropriate safeguards permitted by law.

9) Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law. Ephemeral location data is not stored unless you save it as part of your profile or a transaction.

10) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We’ll revise the Effective date above and, where required, provide additional notice.

Appendix: Android permissions we request (disclosure)

  • ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION — to provide in-app location features as described above, while the app is in use.

  • (Only if applicable) ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION — used only when you enable [feature], to [purpose]. You can disable background access in Android Settings.
